For Mental Health Professionals

These consultations are for licensed and pre-licensed mental health professionals seeking thoughtful discussion of clinical work and continued professional development. We welcome therapists practicing in the United States and the Middle East. EMDR Consultation-in-Training™ is intended for clinicians who have completed an EMDR Basic Training program and are working toward EMDRIA certification. These services are consultation only and do not satisfy supervision requirements for professional licensure.

Peer Consultation provides a collaborative space to discuss clinical cases, treatment planning, ethical considerations, and professional growth across a range of therapeutic approaches.

EMDR Consultation-in-Training™ is specifically designed to support therapists applying EMDR in clinical practice while completing consultation hours toward EMDRIA certification. Sessions focus on EMDR case conceptualization, protocol fidelity, and integrating EMDR safely and effectively into treatment.

Yes. Consultation hours completed with Hanouf Alahmari, EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training™, may be applied toward EMDRIA Certification requirements. In accordance with EMDRIA guidelines, a Consultant-in-Training™ may provide up to 15 consultation hours that count toward certification.

Yes. You must have completed Weekend 1 of an EMDRIA-approved EMDR Basic Training before beginning EMDR Consultation-in-Training™. If you are currently completing your Basic Training, please contact us to discuss the timing of your consultation.

Both individual and group consultation are available. Group consultation is offered based on therapist interest and scheduling, and may not always be available. Individual consultation is available year-round.
